That’s so correct, Leena. There is such a phenomenon as domestic violence against men. DV of men has existed eversince, as well. Much like DV of women. Though lesser in volume and frequency than the women’s plight, DV of men has the same effects, same impact, and same myths enveloping the comprehension of it (as much as DV of women).

Very true Grace, DV can take its toll on men the way it does on women. In India you know there are many women who take advantage of the biased laws that recognise only DV in women and really give their men a tough time.

Hehe...That gives new meaning to ’women empowerment!’ Well, all cultural upheavals go through cultural adjustments. Time will come (though not in our lifetime) when everything evens out.
However, there is truly a great need for tons and tons of re-education to impart the real meaning of gender equality. It is one of those things that are open to poor comprehension and misinterpretation.
